CR 183 (Old Lytton Springs Road) at Dry Creek
Commissioners Theriot, Precinct 3 & Commissioner Thomas, Precinct 4 | Engineer: Kimley Horn & Associates, Inc.

This project will plan, design, and construct new drainage infrastructure and roadway improvements at Dry Creek to provide a safe crossing during flooding and high-intensity storm events. The existing low-water crossing includes one narrow, deteriorating travel lane in each direction without shoulders or rails over the creek.
IMPROVEMENTS
Upgrading the drainage infrastructure
Reconstructing and widening the roadway to include:
One 12-foot lane in each direction
Shoulders and guardrails over the creek
COST: $3.23M
PURPOSE
Enhance overall roadway safety
Mitigate flooding risks
Provide a safer and more reliable creek crossing
RIGHT OF WAY
This project may require additional right of way to complete construction. Once design is underway, a better estimate of right-of-way needs will be determined.
SCHEDULE
DESIGN: 2025 — 2027
CONSTRUCTION: 2028 — 2029
The existing low-water crossing will be evaluated to determine itsexisting capacity and future needs. Design is expected to be completed by mid-2027, with construction anticipated to begin in early 2028. Construction will be phased over approximately 12 months. All timelines are estimates and will be updated as the project progresses.
