Rocky Road en Brushy Creek

Comisionado Theriot, Distrito 3 | Ingeniero: Infraestructura STV

Caldwell County is planning to design and construct a new culvert at Brushy Creek at Rocky Road and widen the roadway to provide a safer crossing over the creek and enhance overall roadway safety. The existing low-water crossing includes a culvert and one narrow and deteriorating travel lane in each direction without shoulders.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Upgrading the drainage infrastructure

  • Reconstructing and widening the roadway to include:

  • One 12-foot lane in each direction

  • Shoulders and bridge rails over the creek

COST: $5.5M

PURPOSE

  • Mitigate flooding risks

  • Provide a safer and more reliable creek crossing

  • Enhance overall roadway safety

RIGHT OF WAY

This project may require additional right of way to complete construction. Once design is underway, a better estimate of right-of-way needs will be determined.

SCHEDULE

DESIGN: 2025 — 2027

CONSTRUCTION: 2028 — 2029

The existing low-water crossing will be evaluated to determine its capacity and future needs. Design is expected to be completed by mid-2027, with construction anticipated to begin in early 2028. Construction will be phased over approximately 15 months. All timelines are estimates and will be updated as the project progresses.
