Caldwell County is planning to design and construct improvements to Bridle Path from US 183 to FM 2984 to enhance roadway safety and improve mobility. The existing roadway includes a single, deteriorating travel lane with open drainage and no shoulders.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Widening and reconstructing the roadway to include shoulders

• Implementing intersection improvements, including:

• Adding a turn lane at US 183

• Adding a turn lane at FM 2984

This project may require additional right of way in order to complete construction. Once design is underway, a better estimate of right-of-way needs will be determined.

SCHEDULE

DESIGN: 2025 — 2027

CONSTRUCTION: 2027 — 2028

Current traffic, drainage, and environmental features will be evaluated, along with community input, to inform project design. Design is expected to be completed by early 2027, with construction anticipated to begin in late 2027. All timelines are estimates and will be updated as the project progresses.
